Binding BioWizard

SigPath's BioWizards are user interfaces designed to feel user-friendly to Biologists. The binding BioWizard allow users to submit new complexes to SigPath. The following types of complexes are currently supported, with arbitrary stoechiometry:

Protein-protein complexes.

Protein-small molecule complexes.

Small molecule-small molecules complexes.

The binding BioWizard guides the user through the selection of the molecules involved in the complex, as well as the interaction sites on each proteins, or the publications that describe the interaction. When the complex is formed through a second order reaction, the user can also enter the kinetic constants which are needed for quantitative simulations. Some of these parameters are optional and can be entered at a latter time, potentially by a different user than the original submitter for the interaction.

The current prototype of SigPath has limited support for the reviewing of the information submitted, so that submissions to the information system must be co-ordinated with the members of the project.
