[ description ]

Apache Ant is a Java-based build tool. It is kind of like make, but without make's wrinkles. Instead of a model that is extended with shell-based commands, Ant is extended using Java classes. Instead of writing shell commands, the configuration files are XML-based, calling out a target tree where various tasks get executed. Each task is run by an object that implements a particular Task interface.

[ availability ]

Ant 1.6.1 is available on all systems. After you have configured your account to use WMC login scripts, you can use the ant command on the command line.

Older versions of Ant are available. Use the choose and wmcpkg commands to work with older versions of Ant.
